What can I drive with the T-68 Controller?
Where can I buy it and when?
Are there any future plans for more modules / add-ons?
It works with War Thunder and we're currently testing it with IL-2: Tank Crew and Gunner, HEAT, PC! There are plans to implement it with other games that allow easy integration of joystick controllers, and then moving onto other platforms including Xbox... Watch this space!
You can pre-order now here at HIGRIG engineering for delivery in October. There is a very small production run starting soon with limited numbers available, and some parts are handmade, hence the long delivery time.
Yes, there are plans for a great deal of accessories, modifications and add-ons, including: Titanium limited edition, foot-switch for firing, mounting stands for Stream Deck / keyboard / half-keyboard, different colour schemes, tank steering wheel, Abrams conversion, and more.
The basic unit is designed from the outset with future additions in mind so that you will be able to add mods easily and cost-effectively to the original controller.
Which tanks use two levers for steering?
Over the years, tanks have used a great variety of steering methods from levers to all forms of yokes, wheels and quadrants.
The T-68 Mk II is designed around the two levers system which was primarily used in the T-34, Sherman, Crusader, Panzer III, IV & 38, Panther, M24 Chaffee, and KV-1 / KV-2 tanks of WWII, as well as later tanks such as the T-72 and 2S7 Pion. However, unlike the real thing, our controller is easy to operate and doesn't require great force to move the levers (although we may incorporate this feature into a future version!).
